Photonics and Quantum Materials
Photonics and Quantum Materials are among the most important areas of modern science and technology.
The Key features of the Photonics and Quantum Materials program are:
Organized in joint network-form with Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Institute for Spectroscopy RAS and Institute of Solid State Physics RAS
Covers main topics in contemporary optics and condensed matter physics
Provides strong interdisciplinary collaboration in different fields, spanning physics, material sciences, mathematics biophysics, and chemistry
Mathematical and Theoretical Physics
Mathematical and Theoretical Physics aimed at giving researchers a grounding in mathematics and deep knowledge of mathematical physics, as well as gives the chance to pursue in-depth study of the fundamental models of modern theoretical physics. We put emphasis on students’ independent scientific study that encourages their rapid fundamental scientific (and thus career) growth.

Education in Skoltech is free. Students can create their individual learning plan and complement the compulsory set of disciplines by elective courses and projects from any field. Research is an integral part of the studying process.

How to get to Skoltech
Free transportation will be organized for participants of the Open doors Day from the metro station Park Pobedy. The map to the boarding area will be available to registered participants.
By public transport: There are buses to Skolkovo from the following metro stations: Slavyanskiy Bulvar, Kuntsevskaya and Troparevo.
